The most prestigious NFL handicapping championship is back for another year. Who will be crowned the 2008 NFL handicapping champion? Compete against the best handicappers in the world. Every legitimate handicapper will compete for the right to win the handicapping championship and take their place as the #1 NFL handicapper. HANDICAPPING CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

• Contest will begin with the opening week of the NFL regular season and will last through the entire regular NFL season.
• Each contestant will submit 5 picks per week.
• Each win will be worth 1 point. All ties and losses will be 0 points.
• Over the course of a season your max score could be 85.
• The contestant with the most points will win.
• Each contestant may play available sides or totals on the contest board.
• Each contestant will have the option of playing early in the week or right before game time. Your line will be the line at the time of your selection.
• All picks will be visible to the publix approximately 5 minutes after the start time. Prior to this it will only show the matchup you have played with the words "pending" listed until 5 minutes after game.
• All games are final once submitted regardless of circumstance.

NFL SURVIVOR

What is NFL Survivor?
NFL Survivor is an NFL picks contest that is very simple. Pick one NFL team each week to win their game straight up. If your team wins, you move on. If you they lose you are eliminated. The only twist is that you can only pick a team to win once during the season. Once you have picked a team to win, you may not choose that team for the rest of the year.

NFL Survivor is a game of skill and strategy. It will challenge your football instincts, your ability to schedule games and your overall football knowledge. Only the strong will survive the NFL Survivor contest over the entire regular NFL season.

Each week you must select one team that you project will be a winner in a specific game that week. If that selected team wins, you remain alive, you have survived, and are allowed to pick again the following week. If the NFL football team you selected loses (or the game ends in a tie), you are regretfully eliminated from the competition and will unfortunately no longer be allowed to make weekly selections. If you miss a pick it is the same thing as losing and you will be disqualified

As simple as this contest sounds, and it is simple, the one single entity that makes this contest strategic is that you can only select each NFL football team once during the duration of the contest.

Congratulations to Point Shaver Picks who won the 2007 NFL Handicapping Championship. Point Shaver finished the season with an impressive 53-30-2 record ( +19.75 units). Weekly Wizard came in second place with a 50-33-2 ( +13.40 units) record. In an amazingly close contest, 3rd through 7th only finished 5 points behind the champion with 48 total points.
